Homepage SEO
You have two homepage display settings: static page or latest post. 1st you need to check your homepage display settings. You will configure your settings according to your display settings.
Homepage display is latest post
If homepage display is latest post, Go to all-in-one SEO tab on dashboard.
Click search appearance and you will see the homepage settings. Preview is showing how your site will be visible in search results. You can edit that settings in site title and meat description.
SITE TITLE
In site title you can see the smart tags. Smart tags make things easier and they are ready to use so you don’t need to type everything. Apart from that you can type hash and more available tags would be shown which you can choose to insert.
You can also enter text along with the tags. If you want to add emoji there is also a choice of adding an emoji.
Meta description
Meta description is very important and it tells the readers that what your site is all about. So these lines are the first explanation of your site. You can add smart tags or/and text in combination with emoji.
You can also type hash character and check the available tags. The recommended crackers are 160 maximum so don’t make it too long or too short.
When homepage is static page
When your homepage is static page, go to all-in-one SEO menu Search Appearance. There is a message under your home page. Click “edit your homepage settings”. You will edit your SEO settings on that page directly where the options are given below.
Inside your homepage you can see a snippet preview, page title and meta description.
This snippet preview shows that how your site is visible to the search engines. And now you can edit the page title and meta description for SEO settings.
Page Title
Page Title is the title of your site and you can edit the same way. You can choose from tags and you can also add emoji. You can also add text in combination with your tags. Entering hash character will show you more available tags to choose from.
Meta description
Now you can edit the meta description in the same way you edited the title. And you have all the options of tags, text and emoji. Check more tag options by entering hash . Meta description are the words that represent your site to to your audience.
